Keynote Speaker: Wioleta Burdzy Seth

IEEE STEM Summit Speaker Wioleta Burdzy Seth will present about STEM for climate changeThis year, participants will have the opportunity to hear from keynote speaker Wioleta Burdzy Seth. She will present “STEM for Climate Solutions” at 8:45AM ET on Wednesday, 25 October.

Every generation faces different challenges. The one that we all must face today is related to the climate crisis: the rising temperatures and sea level, loss of biodiversity, more frequent extreme weather events and water scarcity are just some of them. We do not have the luxury any more to only think about our career and the convenience of our family. The world needs more of us to find solutions for local and global challenges.

This talk will address questions such as

  • What do we mean when we talk about climate crisis and what are the main reasons for that?
  • How we should use the power of our passion to find solutions to the biggest challenges of our time?
  • What can we do in our individual capacity; how STEM can contribute towards finding solutions for the climate crisis?
