Happy National STEM Day! On November 8th we celebrate all things STEM and support the education of students pursuing these subjects. Let’s all learn about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics around the world!
STEM is an important part of our everyday lives. Let’s discuss the history behind this national day and talk about some fun activities to celebrate.
The Birth of National STEM Day
In the early 2000s, it was revealed that U.S. students were not flourishing as much as other countries in the STEM disciplines. From there, more findings were discovered which led teachers to promote STEM education via grants from the National Governors Association.
Thanks to these new methods, the growth in America’s STEM jobs soared. Now we have a national day devoted to celebrating the importance of all things STEM education.
