IEEE is united around the mission of “Advancing Technology for Humanity.” But technology comes from the creativity and innovation of people; and that requires a diverse and talented pool of students to choose careers in STEM fields. As a steward of the profession, IEEE and its members and volunteers are invested in that mission. As STEM professionals we must encourage pre-university students to consider STEM careers by engaging in outreach and educational activities.
