Fostering Diversity in STEM

Technology comes from the creativity and innovation of people. And it’s the differing make-up and backgrounds of these individuals that drives the ideas and innovations that change our lives. Diversity can mean many different things, but in terms of STEM education it means identifying and encouraging students from all backgrounds, especially those that are under resourced and underrepresented to consider and choose STEM careers. This section includes guidance on how to foster diversity in your STEM Outreach activities. You will find articles, research and suggested approaches so that your activities can be as inclusive as possible.
