A students mindset is one of the most important things when it comes to their work in the classroom. It can make a student strive to work their hardest or be afraid to do the work.

It is a teachers job to not only recognize the mindsets, but to nurture and model a good growth mindset. Help a student feel like they can overcome any task that is thrown at them with hard work, and they will usually improve their work.

When presented with the tools to unlock discovery, students with a growth mindset learn they can find success while doing difficult tasks, and that they are not limited by how  “smart” they are. The result is student engagement, appreciation, and more effort put toward the task.
