Let’s Make Spooky Slime

STEMoween, a combination of STEM and Halloween, is creeping up on us! With the countdown coming down to single digits, there is so much to be excited about. Who doesn’t love Halloween? There are so many fun projects to engage with besides seeing who can collect the most candy!

Let’s talk about this creepy arts and crafts project that is sure to get you in spirit! Be sure to check out this full article on all the best Halloween slime ideas!

Halloween Slime

This recipe is so easy to make that even Frankenstein could do it! All you need is slime, decorations, food coloring, and a jar. You can use any recipe for the slime itself, such as this stretchy saline solution slime recipe or this borax slime recipe. Maybe even experiment and create your own.

After you’re done making your slime, pick out any Halloween color that you want to use! Some of my favorites are orange and purple, but the options are endless! Whichever color you choose, make sure you have it in the form of food coloring to add to your mixture. From there you can add sparkles, plastic spiders, miniature ghosts, bats, and so much more!

You can decorate your jar with googly eyes, stickers, glitter glue, or whatever else you may want. Get creative with your slime, maybe even have a competition for whose slime is the creepiest!

Ghost Slime

Lets get even more creative with our slime and make it a ghost!  By adding googly eyes to the mixture of white goop, you will surely spook everyone out!  You could get even more creative and add sparkles to the mixture, or different color specs to make your ghost unique from any other one.  After you make your slime mixture, put it into a jar to mold its shape. Once its shape is held, press the googly eyes in and viola!

Your very own slime ghost! This idea is great for in the classroom, at home, or even in an aftercare program.
