A new digital learning platform is making STEM fun for students by including content from their favorite TV shows and movies – and it’s free! In addition to lessons on technology and engineering, The Achievery features courses on social-emotional learning, the arts, and English language arts alongside content from popular films, TV shows, and animated series, The Journal reported

“Created by AT&T in collaboration with WarnerMedia, The Achievery helps connect students to a new world of digital learning through stories that spark curiosity and content that entertains as well as teaches,” states the program on its website. “The platform features clips from some of the most popular, well-loved movies, TV shows and cartoons from Warner Bros. and Cartoon Network, paired with lessons and learning activities that students can engage with everywhere they are – at home, in the community, and in the classroom.”

Examples of clips featured in these lessons include Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Craig of the Creek

AT&T worked with education advocacy and parent groups such as Khan Academy, Young Storytellers, Scratch, National Parent Teacher Association, and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development to make sure that the program’s instructional content is age-appropriate and engaging for students at each grade level.

How to Get Started

Educators, students 13+, and parents can set up an account for free on the program’s website or mobile app. Parents or guardians can set up accounts for kids under 13. Sign up for free on The Achievery.
