CellEnergy is a series of interactive challenges that engage your students and deepen their grasp of the key concepts of photosynthesis and cell respiration.

CellEnergy works because it’s engaging and relevant: students learn through exploration, problem solving, customized challenges and cumulative rewards.

Interactive content and challenges will draw your students in and deepen their understanding of the key concepts of the carbon cycle, photosynthesis, and cell respiration.

Scaffolded lessons and virtual biology labs set up an experimental playground where trial and error is encouraged, and students can build real mastery of NGSS science practices, practices they will take with them and use the rest of their life.

Teachers can use this in class with the Andamio Dashboard, which will enable educators to tailor content to their classroom, monitor students’ progress as they work through the challenges in CellEnergy, be alerted to emerging misconceptions or students falling behind, and produce summary reports of student and class progress. Student apps will connect to the Dashboard automatically, unlocking all the content and challenges for an entire classroom of iPads.

CellEnergy was developed with the support of two grants from the National Science Foundation, as well as input from dozens of biology teachers and high school students.
