STEM Bins

These bins are perfect for morning work, early finishers, literacy work and more. There are so many ways to incorporate STEM bins into your classroom! By taking any type of bin and filling it up with legos, building blocks or any material, your students will get the opportunity to use their creativity and build different structures. Even better, you can include instructions on what problem they are trying to solve, or incorporate a writing activity for them to explain the purpose of their structure. Hurricane STEM Challenge

Lets get your students to think outside the box with this creative activity! By dividing up your students into even teams, they will have the opportunity to construct a house that can withstand a hurricane using only given materials. This teacher used popsicle sticks, Play-doh, construction paper, a tin and tape, but you can create your own list as well! Genius Hour

This is an activity that can take place an hour a week, an hour a day or throughout a set duration of time. The goal of this activity is to get students to solve a problem that interests them and to present their findings and solution in front of the class.
