The Girl Scouts of America just released 23 new badges for STEM education and the outdoors. The new badges include fields like engineering, computer science, and robotics. In the process of earning these badges, girl scouts and brownies will learn scientific concepts like meteorology and how to navigate in the wilderness. The Girl Scouts of America are hoping to get young girls interested in STEM education at a young age so that they are prepared for today’s scientific and technical workforce.
