Future City Competition

Friday, July 7, 2017

Future City is a project-based learning program for middle school students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. They will work as a team to research, design, and build their imagined cities of the future. Student teams need to complete five parts– design a SimCity, research and write a description of the city, build a model, develop a project plan, and present their city to the judges. Most teams work together to create their city idea and then divide up the work depending on a teammate’s interests and skills. The winning team from each Regional Finals will win a free trip to compete in the national competition in Washington, D.C. National winners can win a cash donation to their school’s STEM program and a trip to Space Camp. Registrationfor the 2017-2018 competition closes October 31, 2017. So share this link with your teacher and ask them to register online as your team leader today!
