CAMP Purdue University Multiethnic Introduction to Engineering The Multiethnic Introduction To Engineering (MITE) program was initiated on the Purdue, West Lafayette campus as the Minority Introduction To Engineering Program in the summer of 1975. Participants in the MITE program are high school juniors identified through the College Entrance Examination Board and selected on the basis of their PSAT scores, high school grades, and expressed fields of interest. The majority of the participants in this two-week program are residents of Indiana and surrounding states. This mix provides them with the unique opportunity to meet and interact with other students having similar interests and goals as they learn about engineering in the College of Engineering at Purdue University.
